We are excited to announce Viviam Caroline in Los Angeles!

Viviam is one of the world's most sought-after authorities on Samba Reggae and has been essential in the development of Dida and empowering women to play the drum. She is the founder of Yaya Muxima & performer with Timbaladies!

.

On June 3rd & 10th, Viviam will be in conversation on the role of women & Reggae rhythms. 

Afterwards, she will host a Samba Reggae drumming workshop!

We are thrilled to launch this year's Samba in the Streets program as a takeover of our programming that has offered community members across the city of Los Angeles, especially CD9, an opportunity to learn dance, music and rhythms of Afro-Brazilian culture. This program is free and we would like to thank our funders from the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles for their ongoing support.
