Jordyn Wheeler

Jordyn Wheeler-Lewis began her training in Los Angeles, California. She deepened her studies at Los Angeles County High School for the Performing Art (LACHSA) where she studied core dance techniques in ballet, modern, and jazz dance which inspired her to continue her artistic career. Wheeler-Lewis attended The University of The Arts (UArts), and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in dance education. During this time Wheeler-Lewis taught dance at Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA),  Atria Senior Center, and students at Messiah dance works. In 2014, Wheeler-Lewis returned to Los Angeles and continued teaching students for Second to None dance team and for The YMCA of Metropolitan in Westchester, CA. 

In 2016, Wheeler-Lewis joined Viver Brasil an LA based Afro-Brazilian dance company.  Wheeler-Lewis performs with the company and is an educator through LA’s Best afterschool program. Wheeler-Lewis  is a recipient of the 2010 Jade Successor Robing and 2014 The Nadia Chilkousky Nahumch Award for creativity and dance making.
